From ROME to BARCELONA by train.
How to buy point to point train tickets. Information for Interrail and Eurail pass travelers. Route from Rome (Italy) to Barcelona (Spain).

Train connection from Rome to Barcelona. We recommend to calculate exactly, as there are different options to travel this route:

A by overnight ferry from Civitavecchia (in the north of Rome, easy to reach by frequent and direct trains from the station Roma Termini) to Barcelona. ... y/12439/22

B by expensive, but direct night train from Italy to Spain. Note: the direct night train Milan to Barcelona is currently suspended: ... -spain/324

C by slower - but free of extra reservation fees - trains from Italy to Spain. Therefore you will need an overnight stop in between. Expl: Nice (France) or Marseilles. ... france/394 ... e-spain/55
