Copenhagen metro with Interrail

Postby somewhere_in_dk » 05 Jun 2012 - 04:02

HI,

Can I use my interrail ticket for metro in Copenhagen? As far as I can tell, it is serviced by different company (not DSB), but they use interchangable tickets with DSB S-tog trains. I found conflicting information if interrail tickets can be used for metro.

Copenhagen metro with Interrail

Hi,

no, IR is not valid on Copenhagen Metro, only on the S-Tog network.

In many cities public transport uses integrated fares which are valid on buses, trams, metro and trains. However, in this case IR is only valid on the trains (as long as these trains are operated by a company that accepts IR). :)
